Nation Building
Equipping the youth to step up and rise to the challenge of developing the nation.
Latela is a mentorship movement equipping the youth with the life skills, relationships and convictions to shape their nation and their world.
Latela takes its name from the Acholi people of Northern Uganda. On one of our team leader's visits, an elder distinguished three names: Ladit, Rot and Latela.
"The first two are hereditary — they come to you as a right. But if you are distinguished as Latela by the community, you are recognised as a leader."
That truth landed. It became the very thing we wanted to inspire in young people — to be identified, by their community, as leaders.
Latela began as individual mentorship offered by Mr. Naboth Muhairwe and his wife to young people who reached out to them. The number kept growing.
In 2023, those scattered conversations were converged into one community — and Latela was registered as two corporate entities: Latela MentorshipHub and Latela Investment Club.
Scripture is not decoration at Latela — it is the foundation. Every program, relationship and decision is anchored in the conviction that wisdom is to be lived, and then passed on.
"He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children."
— Psalm 78:5–6

Multiplying the dream to the rest of the world. Without this goal, the Latela vision dies.
